Joy – Executive Director of Service Delivery

Tell us about your role and what you do within Cohese Healthcare

I started with Cohese Healthcare in September 2023 as Director of Service Delivery and I am responsible for the development and safe delivery of our clinical services, both NHS and self-paying. As part of my role, I am CQC Registered Manager, Caldicott Guardian and Safeguarding Lead and so the quality of what we do for our patients and responding to their feedback, is an important part of my job. Another key role is ensuring that we are safely and effectively meeting our contract obligations and I work very closely with every team across Cohese Healthcare to help deliver for our patients and report what is required.

What do you like most about your role?

The variety, the great teams, the ‘can do’ attitude and the new ideas that everyone has. I have been made to feel so welcome since I joined Cohese Healthcare, and I am very proud to be part of a company that is delivering such important services to people. The feedback from patients is incredible and while we are always looking at how we can do things even better, we must remember that what we are able to do in terms of getting people diagnosed and treated quickly and with kindness, is unique.

Tell us something interesting about yourself that most of us won’t know

I like to push myself in challenge charity events. I have jumped out of a plane (in the days when you weren’t attached to an instructor- or perhaps that was just Northern Ireland!), have abseiled (which I hated!), undertaken undertaken walking challenges including the National 3 Peaks Challenge and several other walking marathons, the most recent being the 30 mile Exmoor Perambulation.
